Spiced Roast With Dijon Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 tsp. fennel seed
    1/2 tsp. whole black pepper
    1 (2 1/2 lb.) boneless beef round rump roast
    1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
    1 Tbsp. margarine or butter
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. coarse grain brown mustard
    1 tsp. snipped chives
Preparation
    Using a mortar and pestle, crush the fennel seed, mustard seed and pepper.
    Set aside.
