Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
5 Tbsp. flour
3 egg yolks
1 can evaporated milk
1/4 c. water
3 Tbsp. margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine brown sugar and flour.
Add egg yolks and water and beat with
electric
mixer
until creamy and smooth.
Heat the can of
milk
until
hot and add the creamy mixture.
Cook until thickened; stir constantly.
When thickened, remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla.
Pour into an 8-inch pie shell. Top with meringue.
