Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    2 c. plain flour
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    1/2 lb. citron or mixed fruit
    1 lb. white raisins
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    1 pt. pecans or walnuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar real good.
    Add eggs and flour alternately, adding flour first and last.
    Cut fruit and nuts fine and mix with a little flour.
    (This keeps all the fruit from going to the bottom of cake.)
    Add vanilla.
    Mix nuts and fruit with batter.
