Strawberry Sherbet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. fresh strawberries
    2 c. sugar or to taste (less is better)
    2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Rinse, drain and hull berries.
    Add sugar and mash.
    Stir in buttermilk.
    Pour into refrigerator trays; freeze 2 to 3 hours. Remove from trays; break into chunks.
    Beat with electric beater until smooth.
    Refreeze until firm.
