Quick And Easy Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    4 medium onions, chopped
    7 medium potatoes, cubed 1/4 to 1/2 inch
    8 c. water
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Saute garlic and onions in olive oil in a 4-quart kettle.
    Add hot water, potatoes and salt to desired flavor.
    Cook for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
    You may reduce the water to 6 cups and add 2 cups of milk after potatoes are done if you use dairy products.
    Serve hot with crackers and/or bread and butter.
