Boiled Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. water
    1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water, syrup and salt in saucepan.
    Stir.
    Boil slowly without stirring until mixture will spin a long thread when a little is dropped from spoon; hold spoon high above saucepan (238\u00b0 to 242\u00b0).
    In mixing bowl, beat whites until stiff, about 2 1/2 minutes.
    Pour hot syrup slowly over egg whites while beating. Continue beating until mixture is fluffy and will hold its shape. Add vanilla.
    Blend.
    Spread on cake.
