Sand Tarts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    4 Tbsp. powdered sugar
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add flour mixture to creamed butter.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Drop in 1-inch balls on a greased cookie sheet and then mash slightly flat.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 until brown.
    If desired, roll in powdered sugar.
    Makes 5 dozen cookies.
