New England Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 oz.) can whole clams
    1 medium potato
    1/2 small onion
    1/3 green bell pepper
    3 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Heat clams with liquid.
    Dice potato, onion and green pepper. Drain clams but keep liquid.
    Put clam liquid, potato, onion and pepper into a saucepan and cook on low heat until tender.
    Add milk, if necessary.
