Date Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. dates
    2 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 c. All-Bran
    3/4 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Cut up dates in a bowl; sprinkle soda over them.
    Pour boiling water over all and let cool.
    Mix sugar, eggs and butter together and drain dates liquid into batter.
    Add flour and then dates and nuts last.
    Makes 2 loaves.
    Put into greased pans.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
