Beef Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/4 to 1/2 head cabbage, chopped
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans
    2 (15 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
    2 tsp. chili powder
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown ground beef in 1 tablespoon oil.
    Add cabbage, celery and onion in skillet.
    Transfer to 5-quart stock pot.
    Add remaining ingredients, plus 1 cup water, if needed.
    Stir and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
