Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 egg
1 1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Mix first 6 ingredients. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours.
Heat oven to 375\u00b0. Shape dough into 1 1/4-inch balls.
Place about 3-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten with fork dipped in flour.
Bake 9 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool 2 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet. Makes about 3 dozen. Contains 80 calories per cookie.
