Tortillas (Flour) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. unsifted flour
1/3 c. shortening
2 tsp. salt
1 c. warm water
Preparation

Sift
flour
and salt together and work shortening into it with hands and fingertips, then add water until dough forms into firm ball.
Knead well and form into small balls the size of golf balls.
Let
stand for about 15 minutes and then roll into thin pancake
size of 7 to 8 inches.
Cook on moderately hot griddle or skillet (ungreased) for 2 minutes on one side; turn over
and cook
1 minute on the other side.
Serve while hot.
(These
can be
placed
in foil and reheated in oven at 350\u00b0
for approximately 10 minutes.) Serve with butter spread on them or fill with cooked refried beans, cheese, etc.
