Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. All-Bran Buds
    4 crushed Shredded Wheat biscuits
    1/2 c. hot water
    1 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    5 c. flour
    1 qt. buttermilk
    1 c. light raisins
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. chopped dates
    2 tsp. salt
    4 1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients together.
    Then add buttermilk, raisins, dates and nuts.
    Cream the rest of ingredients together. Mix together all ingredients in large bowl.
    Makes about a gallon. Cook in a 375\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
