Hamburger Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes
    4 c. water
    2 beef flavored bouillon cubes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 to 1 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    3/4 c. sliced celery
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
    1 c. medium egg noodles, uncooked
    1/2 tsp. dried whole thyme
Preparation
    Cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain on paper towels.
    Discard pan drippings.
    Add tomatoes, water, bouillon cubes, salt, pepper, bay leaf, celery and Worcestershire sauce.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
    Add mixed vegetables, noodles and thyme.
    Bring to a boil.
    Simmer, uncovered, about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serves 6 to 8.
