Sponge Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. molasses
    1 egg
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add molasses and egg.
    Sift together ginger, cinnamon and flour.
    Blend into molasses mixture. Dissolve soda in boiling water.
    Add to mixture; batter will be runny.
    Bake in greased pan at 325\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
