Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    3 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    2 c. mashed ripe bananas
    1 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and beat well. Add flour to creamed mixture alternately with banana.
    Blend well. Stir in nuts.
    Pour into well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes, or until done.
    Remove from pan.
    Cool on rack.
