1 (10 to 12 lb.) ribeye
chopped garlic in oil
black pepper
salt
good beef base
Preparation

Place whole ribeye on baking pan.
Rub both sides heavily with chopped garlic.
Cover both sides with black pepper, then lightly salt both sides.
Bake with fat side up at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes, then lower temperature to 175\u00b0 and cook for 4 hours for medium-rare, 6 hours for medium-medium well.
