Batter White Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg. active dry yeast
6 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 3/4 c. warm water
3 Tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. soft shortening
Preparation

In large mixing bowl sprinkle yeast into water; let stand a few minutes then stir until dissolved.
Add 3 1/4 cups flour, sugar, salt and shortening.
Blend at low speed, then beat 2 minutes at medium speed or beat by hand.
Beat remaining flour in by hand. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 45 minutes.
Stir batter, beating hard 1/2 minute.
Spread in 2 greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans.
Let rise until doubled, about 20 minutes.
Bake in moderate oven at 375\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
