Dorothy'S New England Apple-Raisin Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 C whole wheat flour
1 C sugar
2 Tbsp cocoa
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp each salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice
1/2 C buttermilk
6 Tbsp melted butter
1 C raisins OR 1/2 C snipped, dried prunes
1/2 C walnuts
1 C applesauce
Preparation

Blend flour, sugar, cocoa, soda, salt and spices in a large bowl.
Stir together buttermilk, applesauce and butter.
Combine above, stirring until just moistened.
Fold in raisins and nuts and turn into greased and floured 6 1/2 C ring mold.
