    6 slices bread, cubed
1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    6 eggs
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    2 Tbsp. peanut oil
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. grated, fresh ginger
    2 Tbsp. honey
    1 tsp. soy sauce
1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch slices
1 clove garlic, minced through a press
    1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    1 c. chicken stock
    2 scallions, finely minced
Preparation
Sprinkle the sliced chicken with 2 tablespoons flour (or put both into a bag and shake).
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Add the chicken and flour and saute until lightly browned (about 4 to 5 minutes).
Remove chicken from pan and keep warm. Combine garlic, ginger, vinegar, chicken stock, honey and soy sauce.
Add to the same pan and bring to a boil; stir until thickened, fragrant and reduced by about half (about 5 minutes). Add chicken to the pan, stirring well.
