Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    2 large onions
    2 green peppers
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Saute chopped onions and peppers until tender in shortening. Add ground meat and brown.
    Add tomatoes, rice and seasoning.
    Put in covered dish and bake at 375\u00b0 for about 45 minutes.
    Serve.
