Toffee Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 large bar milk chocolate or large bag chips

Preparation

Mix all ingredients except chocolate together.
Spread by hand into a greased 10 x 15-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
Do not overbake.
While cookies are still warm, spread chocolate over them.
