Easter Bread(Cutzuppi) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 c. flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    2/3 c. milk
    2 eggs (room temperature)
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    3 Tbsp. anise seed
    3 tsp. anise extract
    raw eggs, colored
Preparation
    In a bowl, mix 1 cup flour, sugar, salt and dry yeast.
    In a saucepan, mix milk and margarine.
    Heat milk enough until margarine is slightly melted.
    Gradually add to dry mix and stir well.
    Add both eggs and 1/2 cup flour.
    Add seed and extract.
    Make thick, smooth batter.
    Gradually add flour to make a soft dough.
    Turn onto lightly floured table.
    Knead well.
    Place in a greased bowl and let rise in a warm place until size doubles, about 1 hour. Punch down.
    Divide dough in 2. Shape - e.g. cross.
    Place a colored egg on top as decoration.
