Grandma'S Chocolate Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 sticks margarine
    4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cocoa or less to color sugar
    1 big cooking spoon Karo syrup
    1/2 c. milk
    2 tsp. white vinegar
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt
    the
    margarine
    in a medium size boiler.
    Mix the sugar, cocoa,
    Karo
    syrup,
    milk and vinegar together.
    Pour this mixture into the melted margarine; bring to rolling boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    Place boiler in cold water in
    sink, stirring until icing loses its shine.
    Add vanilla. Stir.
    Spread while warm on cold cake.
