Ruby'S Egg Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2/3 c. flour
3 c. milk
4 egg yolks (save whites for meringue)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 stick butter
dash of salt
Preparation

Mix flour and sugar in iron skillet.
Add milk.
Mix well. Stir in beaten egg yolks, vanilla and salt.
When hot, put in butter.
Cook until thick.
Stir constantly so it won't get lumpy or stick.
Pour into baked pie shells.
Top with beaten egg whites.
Brown in oven.
Makes 2 pies.
