Ingredients

2 sticks butter
1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter.
Add sugar gradually until fluffy.
Add unbeaten egg and vanilla.
Beat well.
