Brazilian Bananas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 bananas
    2 Tbsp. rum
    2 dessert spoons instant coffee
    2 dessert spoons fine sugar
    8 fl. oz. heavy cream
    toasted slivered almonds
Preparation
    Slice bananas thickly into individual dishes and sprinkle with rum.
    Dissolve coffee in 3 to 4 tablespoons hot water.
    Add sugar; stir well and leave until cold.
    Whip cream and gradually stir into coffee mixture.
    Spoon over bananas.
    Sprinkle with slivered almonds and serve chilled.
