Light Old-Fashioned Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/3 c. water
    1 (12 oz.) can evaporated skim milk
    1/3 c. egg substitute
    1/2 c. nonfat sour cream
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    22 vanilla wafers
    3 medium bananas, sliced
    3 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Combine sugar and cornstarch in a heavy saucepan; gradually stir in water, evaporated milk and egg substitute.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat and fold in sour cream and vanilla.
