Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    4 Tbsp. vinegar
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    few grains salt
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. heavy cream
    1 (No. 2) can white cherries
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can peaches
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can pears
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can pineapple
Preparation
    Put eggs in double boiler and add vinegar and sugar, beating constantly until thick and smooth.
    Remove from fire; add butter and salt and cool.
    When cold, fold in whipped cream and well drained fruit; cut in pieces and let stand in refrigerator.
    Half of this recipe may be made for a small family and the fruit may be varied.
