Three-Week Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. cabbage, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 onions, chopped
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. oil
    1 c. white vinegar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 or 2 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Mix the first 3 ingredients and let stand.
    Mix the remaining ingredients and boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
    Pour over cabbage mixture. Store, covered, in refrigerator for 3 weeks.
