Steak Cosmopolitan - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef round steak, pounded so good and tender
    3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. chopped onions
    2 c. sliced carrots
    1/2 c. Burgundy or dry red wine
    1 3/4 c. beef broth or 2 bouillon cubes in hot water
    1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms with liquid
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Preparation
    Slowly brown and simmer first 3 ingredients for 20 to 30 minutes.
    Combine balance of ingredients with beef mixture and bring to a boil.
    Add 2 cups sliced celery to the beef mixture and simmer 30 minutes or so until all is tender.
