Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    14 to 16 c. sliced cucumbers
    2 c. sliced onions
    1/2 tsp. alum
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. turmeric
    4 c. sugar
    2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Put your cucumbers and onions in a big jar or crock.
    Mix in 2 tablespoons salt and let sit overnight in refrigerator.
    Drain in the morning.
