Hillary'S Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. unsifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. solid vegetable shortening
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 eggs
    2 c. rolled oats
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Combine flour, salt and baking soda.
    Beat together the shortening, sugars and vanilla until creamy.
    Add eggs; beat until fluffy.
    Gradually beat in flour mixture and rolled oats.
    Stir in chips.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls of batter onto cookie sheets.
    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Cool cookies on sheets 2 minutes before removing.
    Yields 7 1/2 dozen cookies.
