Sweet Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. plain white cornmeal
1/2 c. plain flour
1 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. bacon drippings
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients; add milk and drippings.
Mix well.
Bake in a loaf pan for 1 1/2 hours or until brown.
Bake in a preheated slow 300\u00b0 oven until brown.
Cool in pan.
May be sliced thin with an electric knife or frozen.
Reheats well.
