Italian Meat Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. pork sausage
3/4 c. oats
1/2 c. tomato sauce
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. oregano
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped spinach, cooked and drained
2 (16 oz.) cans baby tomatoes, drained and sliced
12 oz. grated Mozzarella cheese
Preparation

Combine meats, oats, tomato sauce, egg, seasonings and 1/2 of the Parmesan cheese.
Pack into bottom and halfway up the sides of an ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes; drain fat.
Top meat with spinach.
Arrange tomatoes over spinach. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese.
Top with Mozzarella. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes more or until cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
Yields approximately 10 servings.
