Ingredients

1 c. white sugar
1 c. white Karo syrup
1 Tbsp. margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
6 c. corn flakes
1 (12 oz.) jar creamy or crunchy peanut butter
1/2 c. nuts, if desired
Preparation

In a large, heavy pan boil sugar and syrup until it foams up all over the surface.
Turn heat off at once.
Add margarine, vanilla and corn flakes.
Mix well.
Add peanut butter and mix well.
Drop on waxed paper with a teaspoon.
Let cool before eating.
Makes 30 to 35 cookies.
