Homestyle Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 c. celery, sliced
    1/2 c. chopped green bell pepper
    1/2 c. chopped red bell pepper
    1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes (undrained), cut up
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    4 garlic cloves, minced
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. cumin
    1 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    2 (15.5 oz.) cans red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
Preparation
    In medium skillet, brown meat with onion and drain.
    Add all remaining ingredients, except kidney beans.
    Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
    Add kidney beans; simmer until thoroughly heated.
    Makes 7 (1 1/2-cup) servings.
    To cook in a slow cooker, cook on high setting for 3 to 4 hours.
