Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1 egg
3 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. water
1/2 c. melted Crisco
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. chopped onion

Preparation

Mix well and drop by tablespoon into deep hot oil.
Fry until golden brown.
