Ingredients

1 1/4 c. Crisco shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
3/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
10 oz. pkg. vanilla chips (1 2/3 c.)
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
In large bowl, cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt and gradually blend into creamed mixture.
Stir in chips and drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 or 9 minutes.
Cool slightly.
Remove from cookie sheet.
Makes about 4 dozen.
