Pimiento Cheese Spread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. American cheese, shredded
    1 (5 1/2 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1 (2 oz.) jar pimientos, chopped
    2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
    1/8 tsp. garlic salt (optional)
Preparation
    Combine cheese and evaporated milk in top of double boiler. Heat until cheese is melted. Add remaining ingredients, mixing well.
    Cool and use as sandwich spread.
    Yields 1 cup.
