Mom'S Sweet Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 c. evaporated milk
1 c. water
1/2 c. butter or margarine
8 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten
grated rind of lemon and orange
chopped citron (optional)
Preparation

Dissolve yeast and warm water.
Heat milk and butter.
Combine milk mixture (when cooled) to yeast.
Stir in beaten eggs, grated rind and citron.
Add sifted flour, sugar and salt.
Mix well. Knead until smooth.
Let dough rise in a warm place until double (about 2 hours).
Punch down; shape into loaves.
Let rise about 1 hour.
Brush top with beaten egg and add colored sprinkles, if desired.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven.
