"South Of The Border" Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. tenderized round steak
    2 1/2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    2 small cans chopped green chiles
    8 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
    1 (8 oz.) jar taco sauce (hot or mild)
Preparation
    Brown steak in butter while adding seasonings to meat until light brown.
    Drain off any grease.
    Remove steak; put in an oven-safe dish.
    Pour taco sauce on top of steak, then sprinkle top of steak with chopped green chiles.
    Bake, covered, for 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Remove cover.
    Add shredded cheese to the top of each piece of steak.
    Bake, uncovered, for 10 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and melted well.
    Serve with Spanish rice.
