Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bushel green tomatoes
    10 red bell peppers
    8 onions
    5 chili peppers
    3/4 gal. apple cider vinegar
    5 lb. bag sugar
    1/2 (5 lb.) bag sugar
    pickling spice
Preparation
    Grind the green tomatoes, bell peppers, onions and chili peppers in a food chopper.
    Then squeeze out all the juice you can.
    Put vinegar, 5 pound bag of sugar and half of another 5 pound bag of sugar and some pickling spice (wrapped up).
    Let come to a boil.
    Pour in chopped ingredients and cook about 1 hour. Cook until liquid is about evaporated.
    Put into jars and seal.
