Onion Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

30 saltines, crushed
1/2 c. butter or oleo
3 c. onions, sliced
1/4 c. butter or oleo
1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
1 1/2 c. scalded milk
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Mix cracker crumbs in 1/2 cup softened or melted butter; press into greased shallow baking dish.
Saute sliced onions in 1/4 cup butter, then pour over cracker crumbs.
Sprinkle grated cheese over onions.
Mix scalded milk, beaten eggs, salt and pepper. Pour over top of cheese.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes, or until it's set like custard.
