Applesauce Snack Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 (16 oz.) can applesauce
    4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 tsp. ground allspice
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cream
    butter;
    add sugar, beating well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Stir soda and vanilla into applesauce.
    Combine
    flour
    and spices.
    Add to creamed mixture alternating
    with applesauce, mixing after each addition.
    Cover batter and store up to 2 weeks.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 17 to 19 minutes in muffin pans.
    Yields 2 1/2 dozen.
