Old English Cheese Crock - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1/4 c. Port wine
    2 tsp. Dijon-style mustard
    1 tsp. basil
    8 oz. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (2 c., lightly packed)
    1/2 c. toasted, chopped almonds
    toasted, slivered almonds
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, Port wine, mustard and basil until thoroughly blended.
    Mix in Cheddar cheese and chopped almonds.
    Beat to blend thoroughly; pack in crock or small bowls. Cover and refrigerate 24 hours before serving.
