Potato Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. potatoes
    salt and pepper
    3 egg yolks
    5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation
    Peel and boil potatoes.
    Mash well. Add salt, pepper and egg yolks.
    Mix.
    Fold in the beaten egg whites.
    Place mixture in a well-greased pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 400\u00b0.
    Cut in squares and serve hot with meat and other vegetables.
