Cheesy Beef Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. ground beef, browned
    1 c. yellow corn meal
    3/4 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 Tbsp. baking soda
    1 (17 oz.) can creamed corn
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1/4 c. oil
    1 onion, finely chopped (optional)
    2 c. shredded cheese
Preparation
    Mix corn meal, salt, soda, corn, eggs, oil and onion (if desired) well.
    Pour 1/2 of mixture in greased pan (I use an iron skillet).
    Mixture will be a thick consistency.
    Sprinkle seasoned (salt and pepper) ground beef on top.
    Add cheese and top with remaining batter mixture.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
