Breakfast Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 slices bacon
2 c. yellow cornmeal
2 c. boiling water
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 c. milk
1 Tbsp. sliced green onion
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
In a 10-inch cast-iron or heavy ovenproof skillet over medium heat, fry bacon until crisp.
Drain on paper towels and crumble; set aside.
Remove all but 1 tablespoon of bacon drippings from skillet.
Place skillet in oven to keep skillet hot.
