Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pickles
    onions
    1 head dill
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. salt
    1 pt. vinegar
    4 c. water
Preparation
    Cut pickles into slices; put in quart jars.
    Put onions on top of pickles.
    Put dill in jar.
    Make syrup with remaining ingredients (makes enough for 4 quarts pickles).
    Boil syrup. Cold pack pickle jars in hot water for 10 minutes.
